Managing Team
Mr. Shlomo David, CEO
Shlomo holds more than 18 Years of R&D, Engineering, Production and Top Management experience in High-Tech and Medical devices industries.
Shlomo served as the CEO of Cepheus-Tech Ltd. an R&D Engineering design house which generates innovative engineering solutions to the medical market, for more than 5 years, in which he established the company, managed it and expand its activities to become one of the leading Engineering group in the medical device industry. Shlomo also served as a Vice President and director in more than a few medical device companies. While there, Shlomo helped shape and execute strategies that positioned the companies as the preeminent provider of medical devices to the market.
Shlomo brings with him vast experience of complex multidisciplinary projects management, comprising varied technologies.
Shlomo Successfully introduced more than 15 new medical devices to the market.
He also established few medical device production sites worldwide (Israel, USA, and China).
Shlomo holds B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and MBA degree .
Mr. Ehud Ardel, CTO
Ehud holds over 20 years of multidisciplinary system development skills and has vast experience in the telecom industry in general and video networking in particular. In his last positions, Ehud served as the Vice President of R&D in several HiTech companies. Ehud brings with him ability to manage diverse engineering functions and processes: software (embedded, networking, management systems, and web applications); hardware (boards and systems including FPGA, DSP, Processors and dedicated ASICs); Mechanical Engineering; Quality assurance; and Multidisciplinary system engineering. Ehud has deep customer interaction/relationship. He has the ability to hit both internal and customer deliverables on-time and on-budget, drive engineering and customer program processes (both agile and waterfall development methodologies), track record of quality, on-time deliverables across many years, projects and domains (ProAV, TV Broadcast/IPTV, Telco, Military, Farming and Enterprise).
Mr. Amir Cohen, CFO
Amir has more than 25 years of experience in Israeli and multinational companies and has held CFO and COO positions in the Medical Device and Clean-Tech industries. Prior to joining Metacure in March 2009, Amir was CFO at Atlatium, an Israeli private company in the clean-tech market. Prior to this position Amir was CFO at Medical Compression Systems (D.B.N), an Israeli company traded on the TASE. He has led efforts such as an IPO at the German stock exchange, M&A and spin-off, cost reduction, capacity extension through efficiency increases, and more. Amir holds an M.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University, a B.A. in Economics and Statistics (Honors) from the Ben-Gurion University.

Assoc. Prof. Doron Norman MD., Clinical Applications
Dr. Doron Norman is the Head of the Orthopedics Surgery Section at Rambam Health Care Campus in Israel. He is also a clinical lecturer in the Technion’s Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine.
His main interest is orthopedic trauma surgery, including complex fractures of the lower (hip, femur, knee, tibia, foot and ankle) and upper limb (shoulder, arm, and forearm wrist), complicated elbow injury, and elbow arthroplasty.
Dr. Norman received his MD (1992) from the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine and was trained in orthopedic surgery at Rambam. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic surgery at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in Stanmore, UK and in Bochum, Germany.
Dr. Norman is the author of the idea of the OrthoDrill S3D® product and he serves as company’s VP of clinical applications. He is responsible for guiding the development of OrthoDrill Medical Ltd. products and their clinical applications. Recognized as a leader in his field, Dr. Norman is a member of AO Alumni and serves as Chairman of the Israeli Society for Orthopedic Trauma since 2008. He served as Chairman of Rambam’s residency committee from 2004–2009.
Yaron Berkovich MD., Medical Affairs
Dr. Yaron Berkovich is a senior orthopedic surgeon in the field of joint replacements, at Rambam Health Care Campus in Israel. He specializes in hip and knee replacements including revision surgery and treatment of pathologies such as avascular necrosis (AVN) of the hip. Dr. Berkovich received his MD from the Technion’s Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine (2004) and specialized in orthopedic surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus (2010). He received a scholarship from European Society for Knee Surgery (ESSKA) in 2010 for knee surgery at the University Hospital, Ghent Belgium.
